The problem is the stairs are approx. 52 inches wide. The gate would have to be installed to the round bannisters. To attach to the wall it would have to be moved up to about the third stair. * any ideas ?????? Thanks for the help!

We have gates on our stairs also, but the banisters are standard size but round, we drilled holes. 52 inches is big! I got ours from Babies R Us. One Step Ahead on-line also has many kinds of gates to chose from, maybe look into that site.

We need some creative minds out there… We have a longer than normal (76" long) entrance way into our living room which we are trying to block off so our 1 year old daughter doesn’t leave that area. Unfortunately most child safety gates aren’t long enough. We have been wracking our brains trying to come up with a creative, yet safe barrier. Any out of the box ideas are welcome. Please help!

Babies R Us …..saw one today…..they don’t have it online because i just checked, but it was under 100 dollars and it was exactly the length you are looking for.

Hello, we need to buy gates for our stairs. We have a 15 months old baby, and she is in every place, I’m scary that she can fall on the stairs on our new house.
I want a gate screwed into the wall but we don’t know where to find one like that.
Please any help would be appreciate.

The one I had was bought at walmart I think. It was a swing gate and very hard for kids to open it. Kinda hard for me actually lol but hey it worked. I’m not sure if that’s where my parents bought it so I’ll ask them tomorrow and email ya.
The one I had was made of thick plastic so you didn’t have to worry about it breaking.
